We make it a priority to only use reused/recycled gold and silver when producing our pieces. This is an important part of our vision as the gold resources of the world will eventually be depleted.
The beauty of gold and silver is that it can always be melted and put to use for a new project, a new Hik&Rós piece.

What we mean by recycled gold and silver is that the metal is melted into liquid form, cleansed, then melted again and poured into a plate mold. Voila! New, old gold.

Another thing that is crucial to us is that the diamonds and gemstones we buy come from vendors that sell conflict-free stones. Meaning that blood diamonds are not an option and that the people working hard to mine the gems are treated fairly.
